The NeuroHealth Neuro-Oncology Center, under the direction of Keith R. Brecher, MD, provides diagnostic, consultative, and treatment services to patients with primary and metastatic tumors of the brain and spine and with cancer-related neuromuscular complications and pain.
According to the World Health Organization, there are 126 different types of central nervous system tumors. Many can produce symptoms that are similar to other neurological disorders, so accurate and timely diagnosis is critical. In addition to comprehensive on-site diagnostic capabilities, the NeuroHealth facility is also home to over 30 physicians, nurses, therapists and clinicians who have expertise in a number of neurological subspecialties. We are also currently in the process of staffing a full-time infusion therapy center on-site for intravenous delivery of cancer medications to patients in a comfortable and familiar environment.
The NeuroHealth Neuro-Oncology Center is dedicated to providing informed and compassionate care for cancer patients. Our multidisciplinary approach to care also includes neuropsychological counseling and coping strategies. Improving and extending quality of life for our patients remains our primary goal.
