The Nerve & Muscle Disorder Center provides a multi-specialty approach to the evaluation and treatment of a wide range of neuromuscular conditions including ALS, Bell’s palsy, carpal tunnel syndrome, myasthenia gravis, and peripheral neuropathies.
Under the direction of NeuroHealth founder Gary A. L’Europa MD, and colleague, Meryl G. Goldhaber, MD, the Center is committed to helping patients cope with diverse disorders by providing care that reduces discomfort and improves quality of life. Dr. L’Europa and Dr. Goldhaber are joined by a talented and experienced team of neuromuscular specialists including Lois Botelho, RN, REEGT, REDT and Roseann Arrigo, EEGT, NCST, who have special training in the field of electrodiagnostics. Together, they staff a state-of-the-art, on-site laboratory outfitted with sophisticated electrodiagnostic testing equipment essential to the timely and accurate diagnosis of neuromuscular disorders.
Because NeuroHealth employs a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and management of neuromuscular disease, your care team may also include staff from the NeuroHealth Rehabilitation Center.
Treatment for neuromuscular disorders varies widely depending on the nature and severity of the condition, but common options include drug intervention, surgery, symptom management or physical and occupational therapy.
